DUAA FATIMA
President
Duaa co-founded HALEC with her passion for health advocacy and her hope to educate other students on the social determinants of health. She brings her unique lived experience and perspective to the forefront in helping our organization grow and succeed. Duaa is currently in her second year of her Bachelors of Health Sciences Honours degree program, majoring in Health and Society and concentrating in Psychology.

SOHA IQBAL
VP of Marketing and Public Relations
Soha is currently in her second year in the Biomedical Sciences program and is looking to expand her knowledge and gain a more holistic experience in her health degree. She decided to join HALEC in order to grow and utilize her passion for advocacy regarding inequality within health.

ANDREI GEORGESCU
VP of Finance and Operations
Andrei is in his second year of the Biomedical Sciences program at the University of Calgary. He joined HALEC due to his interest in advocating for health-related issues. He hopes to use this opportunity to become more informed about health policies affecting his community. As the VP of Finance and Operations, he will ensure the club's finances are organized and help in the planning of fundraising events.
